WELCOME
Twigs crack underfoot as you run through the trees. The forest is dense, but somehow you can’t shake off your pursuers; the light of their torches follows you relentlessly through the darkness.
Eventually they catch up, pitchforks in hand. And now you can make out what they’re shouting…
“Typo on the first page!”
“I couldn’t follow the dialogue! So confusing!”
“It was written in third-person limited perspective, but it was full of head-hopping!” (Bit of a mouthful, that one!)
They close in. You scream.
And then you wake up.
Okay, okay. Not everyone is going to have nightmares about publishing their writing (and you’re very unlikely to meet a pitchfork-wielding mob in real life – especially one with a decent grasp of writing craft).
But publishing your work can feel pretty intimidating, no matter how experienced you are as a writer or creator.
My goal as an editor is to help make things a little less scary – by working with you to make sure your book or comic or game is the best possible version of itself before it’s published, and by offering my advice and encouragement along the way.
So take a look at the types of help I can offer, read some writing advice, and don’t hesitate to send me a message if you have any questions.

REVIEWS
“I can’t recommend Kate enough. She was quick, thorough, and she adapted to my narrator’s voice so that her suggestions never felt out of place. She provided me with all the feedback and tools I needed to clean up my manuscript. I can’t wait to work with her again on my next project!”
ALISTAIR CARADEC, AUTHOR OF LGBTQ+ DYSTOPIAN NOVEL “THE OLD LOVE AND THE NEW“
“Kate is an excellent editor; timely, professional, and with fantastic feedback to any project. Her notes on my novel showed me story possibilities I had not considered, drove me to have a more dynamic cast of characters. Where I once felt like I was simply recounting the events of the story, Kate encouraged me to put myself in it, to ask deeper questions of the characters so I may find gems of truth hidden within the narrative. I absolutely cannot recommend her enough!”
MARIO PIUMETTI, AUTHOR OF SCI-FI NOVEL
โKate did a wonderful job with editing and proofreading the rules for our board game. We are impressed by her attention to detail and how she managed to bring the rules across in a precise, yet an easily understandable way. She also provided us with her own invaluable thoughts and ideas, which we greatly appreciate. We are looking forward to working with her again in the near future!โ
