What is this service? Who is it for?
Sometimes it’s just easier to talk face to face! A one-off coaching session or consultation is an hour-long video call that can cover pretty much any topic relating to writing, editing, and publishing. Some examples might be:
- Plotting and ideas
- Feedback on your outline of a new manuscript
- Tools for planning and outlining
- How to turn your ideas into a satisfying story arc
- Adapting a novel into a comic or graphic novel (or vice versa)
- Help with a specific aspect of story craft or writing craft
- The publishing process: self-publishing or traditional publishing
- Working with an editor: what to expect
- Specific questions about your manuscript, if the consultation takes place after we’ve worked together on an edit
Think of it as an “ask me anything” session, a simple way to get advice that’s tailored to your specific situation, or just a chat with someone who’s as excited about your ideas as you are!
Given the infinite number of ways in which a consultation might be used, they can be useful for anyone, at any stage of the writing, editing, or publishing process.
What’s included in this service?
This is a one-off service. We’ll chat in Google Meet for up to an hour on about a topic or topics agreed in advance.
The price also includes up to an hour of reading time in advance, so I can read and think about an outline or a few chapters of your manuscript in advance of the discussion if helpful.
